Why Support Associations?

Oikocredit Canada’s Support Associations are groups of volunteers whose members are engaged in promoting Oikocredit’s mission. Volunteer associations are part of a long-standing tradition in Oikocredit’s work. In addition to being active volunteers for Oikocredit, Support Associations are members of the Oikocredit International co-operative.

Oikocredit has two Support Associations in Canada – Oikocredit Canada and Oikocredit Canada Atlantic. Click on the regions to learn more about how you can get involved in your local Support Association.


Impact Investing Marketing Challenge

As young marketing leaders we want your innovative ideas on how to increase awareness of Oikocredit in Canada and educate potential Oikocredit supporters and volunteers. We want you to focus on engaging younger audiences and get people thinking about how they are investing their money.

The Deliverable

We are looking for informative, visual marketing materials that will be used online and on social media that engages millennials and demonstrates:

  1. Why is impact investing important?
  2. What does Oikocredit do?
  3. How does Oikocredit work in Canada?
  4. Why should people support Oikocredit?
  5. How to get involved!

These visuals can take the form of a maximum 1 minute video or 4-6 graphics.

All photos must be your own or you must have the rights to use and edit the images. You must also have the rights and allow Oikocredit the rights to use or share your final product publicly. A stock collection of Oikocredit images may be available upon request.


  • Competition is open to students all across Canada who are enrolled in a post-secondary institution
  • Full-time and part-time students are eligible to participate in the competition
  • Participants can enter the contest individually or in teams of up to four people
  • Maximum one entry per team/individual
