Oikocredit's future direction, and a look at women coffee farmers in Brazil

In this newsletter, our managing director, Thos Gieskes, gives some insight into Oikocredit's future direction. We then shine the spotlight on two of our partners -- Coopfam, a cooperative which is empowering women coffee farmers in Brazil, and Banco Pyme de la Comunidad, which supports microentrepreneurs in Bolivia.

Video: Women coffee producers

Oikocredit’s Brazilian partner Coopfam is helping to empower women by spearheading a campaign to support female coffee growers. Its speciality organic coffee 'Café Feminino' is produced exclusively by women in the coffee-growing community of Poço Fundo in south-eastern Brazil.
