Savouring every cup: OIkocredit's role in fair trade coffee

In this edition of our newsletter, the spotlight falls on smallholder farmers, and fair trade coffee in particular. We take a close look at how our partner FAPECAFES is helping to improve coffee farmers' lives. As well, we feature an interview with Colleen Anunu, Fair Trade USA’s Senior Manager of Supply Chain, who provides valuable insights into the fair trade sector, and how it collaborates with Oikocredit to benefit smallholder coffee farmers.

On the theme of smallholder farmers, Eugene Ellmen, Oikocredit National Director for Canada and the US, explains how investment in small farmers can help to meet the challenge of global food security.

And for our supporters and investors in the Toronto area, we have an invitation to a public event on Oct. 24, featuring a discussion on the theme of Investment, Gender and Equality. The speaker is Brittany Lambert, who heads up womens rights policy at Oxfam Canada.
