Oikocredit to hold EGM on December 2, 2021

Oikocredit’s Managing Board and Supervisory Board are pleased to announce to the cooperative's members the convention of an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) to be held on 2 December 2021. The main purpose of the EGM is to discuss the review process of the cooperative’s capital-raising model and the related role of members. The EGM will also include an update on the development of Oikocredit’s 2022-2026 strategy and on several motions that were presented at the AGM in June.

Oikocredit invests € 5 million in Senegal financial institution

Oikocredit provided a loan of € 5 million to Union des Caisses de Credit Mutuel du Sénégal (CMS), the only microfinance institution in Senegal with a presence in almost every region of the country. Oikocredit's loan will expand the CMS financial inclusion portfolio across its vast branch network, located mainly in the rural and peri-urban areas of Senegal.
